It seems like every year around this time (concert season..our busy season at work) my blog ends up taking a back seat to everything else going on. In the last month we have had 10 events going on..so needless to say life has been hectic and it's a miracle if I ever have a free weekend.

Well, a couple weekends ago I had just that, a free weekend..with a wedding that just so happened to be at the beach..win win. We tried to enjoy this trip as much as possible because I knew there wouldn't be too many more free weekends the rest of the summer. Here is a little recap of our weekend getaway.

On Thursday afternoon we headed for the beach..in the middle of a horrible thunderstorm. Here is a picture I snapped in the car. Let me just tell you, tornado like winds/hail and dark dark clouds do not mix well with 5 o'clock traffic. It took us an hour just to get out of town!

We finally made it to Wilmington late that night and settled in and went straight to bed. On Friday morning we decided to go grab some lunch in Wrightsville Beach at Dockside. The view was gorgeous as always and so were the shrimp tacos!

We did a little shopping after lunch and enjoyed some time in the pool. It was so nice to just relax for a little while.

We may have relaxed for a litttle too long and then realized it was time to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. We were in a rush so I didn't get a full outfit picture but I did snap this one in the car on the way.

The Rehearsal dinner was so much fun with amazing food and drinks. My favorite part was hearing T give his groomsman speech which was absolutely precious.
