ONE.
It's been almost a year since I took the plunge and cut my hair short and for the most part I've loved it. It was a nice change, and super easy to handle..but I think I've decided to grow it out again. I've been struggling with styling my hair ever since deciding to grow it out. It's in that awkward grow-out stage and I've tried curling it under, straightening it, etc and have never really loved how it's looked. I've successfully tackled my version of the sockbun/topknot (tutorial soon), which has seemed to be my go to style for now, but I've missed being able to wear my hair down. I came across the recommendation to blow dry with this paddle brush and this has worked wonders. I also put in some Bumble & Bumble prep spray before blow drying, which helps with tangles and preps your hair for drying...It's like getting a professional blowout at home.

TWO.
Wedding season is in full swing and so far we've been invited to attend two weddings in our favorite city....Charleston. I couldn't be more excited to celebrate these two couples in the "Holy City". Now its time to find a dress, I've narrowed it down to these two Lilly Pulitzer dresses, the Janice Shift Dress and Pennie Shift Dress..what do y'all think?
THREE.
Lately, I have been on the hunt for the perfect distressed denim in a lighter wash. 7FAM is my go to brand for jeans but I just couldn't seem to find a distressed pair that I really liked, plus to be honest I didn't really feel like spending $100+ for a pair of distressed jeans. Luckily after looking for a while, I finally stumbled upon the perfect pair at H&M! Seriously, I could wear these jeans everyday, they are not only comfy but are UNDER $25- um hello, perfect. I loved them so much that I went online to see if they came in any other colors, and guess what- they have a distressed dark wash too, you better be I went and snagged those up to.
FOUR.
I've come to the conclusion, that I need a tan, like yesterday. With the warmer temps we've been having (sadly, currently there is rain on the forecast & it's in the 50s) I have begun to bring out Spring/Summer clothes and let me tell you something...this girl has got to get some sun on them legs. I'm curious what y'alls favorite sunless tanner is? I've experimented with sunless tanners before but not too too much. There are a couple on my list to try out after reading some reviews online but I 'd love to hear from y'all...best vs worse, etc. St. Tropez, Versa Spa, and TanWise are all on my list to try.
FIVE.
And lastly and most importantly, always remember today and everyday

Stopping by from the link up! I love the Bumble and Bumble prêt-à-powder. It adds such great volume to my hair and I love love love big hair!
ReplyDeleteI must try that spray!!! Where to get it? BTW, I have been using the St. Tropez tanning mousse and I'm loving it. I'm extremely fair and I like how it looks warm, not orange. It doesn't streak. It doesn't smell. It's not sticky. that's my two cents.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting to go to Charleston weddings!! I love the blue Lilly dress, I feel the other one may be too light for a wedding :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletefinding the right pair of jeans is sooo difficult!! We've been on the hunt for a nice pair of distressed jeans, as well as a well fitting pair of boyfriend jeans. No luck so far :(

I'm voting Pennie, i agree it looks light but its gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSt. Tropez all the way - and the Lilly dress on the left, in blue. I own it in last year's blue and green, and it garners so many compliments; it's perfection for CHS! Have fun!
