I feel like this week has absolutely creeped by, don't you? I have been able to get a fair amount of work done and even had some extra time to make a target trip...if you follow me on snapchat @belleinthecity I've been snapping some of my recent target finds (#targetdoesitagain)! I hope y'all have had a great week, I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend with a bottle of wine + maybe even a few snow flurries! We almost always stay in for Valentine's Day..a pizza or chinese food and I'm perfectly fine with that..I'm not too hard to please (he might disagree ha).

This past weekend, Tommy and I decided to take a day trip to our old college town. We both hadn't been back since my graduation almost six years ago. And as I'm writing this I realized I never shared how Tommy and I met (and no, it actually wasn't at college even though we both went to ECU!), I'll have to add that on my list of posts to write. It was so fun exploring around our old campus..and talking about how things were when we were there (4 years apart that is). So many things had changed, while some things had stayed exactly the same as we had remembered. Nothing like walking through your old campus to make you feel old..sheesh. I totally want to go back to college now though..maybe grad school ha!?
One of my oldest and dearest friends is due with her first baby, Riley and I couldn't be more thrilled for her! Her baby shower is this coming weekend and I knew I wanted to DIY her something in addition to just buying something from the registry. I am so thrilled with how it turned out and plan on sharing a how-to post with you all (in the next week or two, as not to spoil it since she reads here) in case any of you are looking for a baby shower gift with a little added charm to it.
Have you all seen the Mario Kart flash mob? This is just too funny, I loved playing mario kart growing up so this totally made me laugh. I mean didn't everyone want to be Princess Peach?? I also love that they included the intro + music and even threw out real bananas and had some of Mario's key phrases. I couldn't imagine being one of the people in the mall (On Black Friday!) seeing this..so silly, now I want to go play mario kart!
Recently I've been trying to formulate a content calendar for all of my posts here. I've been working on switching up some content and adding new things. I am curious if there is anything in specific that you all are interested in seeing on belle in the city? I've also been contemplating on a possible short reader survey, anonymous of course, so you could share you thoughts and ideas with me! I love sharing my weekly favorites which I will still continue to do, but I'm curious what types of posts y'all are interested in most...diy, beauty, home decor, fashion, life, recipes? Please, please, please feel free to share your thoughts with me!
If you saw my post 10 polish colors you need to try you know I am all for pampering yourself and enjoying a fresh mani/pedi. The other day I picked up a few colors that I'm dying to try. OPI- I Cannoli Wear OPI, That's Hula-rious and Is Mai Tai Crooked? Can't wait to try these out I know that they will be perfect for spring (hurry up!). I also picked up a bottle of Seiche Vite which I absolutely swear by!!! It is the perfect top coat and dries SO FAST. I end up painting my nails last minute...even in the car and so it's super important for my nails to dry fast and this stuff definitely does the trick..it has been a repeat buy for me for years!
What are your favorites this week? xo, S
