Beauty Favorites: Bronzer + Blush + Highlight/Contour

Tuesday, March 08, 2016

Yay, another beauty favorites post! If you saw last weeks post, I included my favorites for foundation & concealer and today I'm sharing with y'all my go-to for bronzer, blush, and highlight/contouring. I'm still experimenting with contouring, I feel like it's a never ending learning process, but I think I have the basics down. I do also want to mention, that I don't always apply bronzer or highlight/contour every single day...usually for date nights or special events. But, I do always apply blush..it's just one of those products I don't ever go without, kind of like mascara! So check out my favorites below and also let me know of any products y'all are loving or have tried out before!

Bronzer + Blush + Highlight/Contour

Laura Gellar Bronze and Brighten I use this after contouring to add a finishing layer of powder bronzer to my cheek bones and sides of my forehead and nose. It does have a bit of a shimmer, which I like but can be overbearing if you apply too much (learned that quickly).

Milani Baked Blush The 'luminous' shade is a dupe for Nars Orgasm and is such a close match at a fraction of the price. I had been using Nars and loved it, but not the price and I'm so glad I found this dupe.

Benefit High Beam LOVE this! The small brush makes it so easy to apply onto your cheekbones for a little extra glow. I don't use this everyday, only on certain occasions, but I wanted to mention it because its a great product to try out if you're looking for dewy highlight to make your cheekbones pop.

Motives Mavens Sculpt Series My first contour kit and a great one to start with. I use the fire one which is for warm/yellow undertones. The palette comes with 4 hues which is great for blending together and finding your perfect tone. Since this palette is more of a cream base, I feel like it lasts a lot longer and has great coverage especially for highlighting.

NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette This is a fairly new (to me) product that I've been trying out. I like that it has 8 shades and goes on more of a powder where as the motives palette is more of a cream texture. The highlighting shades are also fairly light which is great for adding extra highlight under your eyes to help conceal undereye darkness/circles.

Have y'all used any of these products, what are your thoughts? Also, I'd love to hear about some  bronzer, blush or highlight/contouring products that y'all are loving! xo, S
