DIY Baby Shower Gift

Tuesday, April 05, 2016

I mentioned in one of my previous Friday Favorites Posts about attending one of my oldest and dearest friends baby shower. The shower was absolutely perfect and very pinterest worthy. Her sister did a wonderful job, from fun little games, to a tutu diaper cake. I'm so glad I was able to be there for such a special moment in her life and had such a fun time putting together her baby shower gift. I didn't want to steer to far off from her registry, but still wanted to make it special. This is definitely a great idea if you're looking for a fun and easy shower gift to put together, while still making it personal.

What you need:
Baby bath items (obviously this can vary depending upon what they have registered for, but I've listed what I used below)
- Paper easter grass
- Bath time scrapbook stickers

First I placed the easter grass into the bottom of the jar and fluffed it so it looked full and covered the entire base. Then I added the hooded ducky towel, wash cloths, and the bath time barn yard toys, they were just too cute and I loved the cow! Then lastly, I added in the shampoo + body wash.

I wanted to make the gift personalized and opted for adding her daughter's name Riley unto a mini banner I strung across the jar. I found the mini banner cutouts at Hobby Lobby and they were the perfect size to go across the front of the jar. I free handed her name unto each tag with a black sharpie. Then I punched holes unto each side of the tags and used some twine I already had through each tag, tying it in the back of the jar.

Lastly, I added the bath time scrapbook stickers to the front of the jar, which I thought pulled the whole theme together.

Overall, I think it turned out great and I loved watching the momma-to-be open it and check all the fun items inside the jar! If you re-create this DIY, I'd love to see your take on it, be sure to share yours! xo, S
