Hollllllaaaa it's Friday + we are half way through May, whoa! If you caught my post yesterday, it's totally obvious I'm so ready for summertime! Plus it has been rainy this entire week, so I for sure have been dreaming of some sunshine & warmer weather! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

This girl got new glasses...2 pairs actually (I shared a sneak peek of them on snapchat @belleinthecity)!! Tell me this, why is choosing frames at the eye doctor the most overwhelming thing ever?! You try one pair on..think you like them, then boom you see another one you like. It's like if you choose the wrong pair and you hate them, it will be the most devastating thing ever. Am I the only one that gets extreme anxiety from this? (lol) I narrowed it down to 4 pairs and settled on this pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs and a pink pair just for fun!

We celebrated my Momma's birthday this week, and the celebrations will continue this weekend. I'm so thankful to have such a strong, caring woman in my life who is so supportive and by far my biggest cheerleader! For her birthday, I snagged this Rebecca Minkoff handbag for her during the sample sale (there are still some pieces left, this one on my #wishlist), and I think she was definitely smitten with it!

As Ive gotten older, I've learned that it's better to have a few good friends, than a great deal of acquaintances. I've also learned that if people want you in their life, they will make time for you. Recently, I reconnected with an old friend from high school (speaking of high school, my 10 year reunion is this year...boy time flies!) and I'm overjoyed that I did. A bit of nostalgia is always fun, and of course it is also neat to see how our lives have diverged over time. Friendships are such a fundamental part of our lives, and I'm glad we were able to renew our relationship, as if not even a day had past.

With the hype of the 4 episode Gilmore Girls revival happening on Netflix, I decided to rewatch the series again...talk about #allthefeels. The show was definitely one of my favorites when it originally aired, along with One Tree Hill and 7th Heaven! I remember coming home from school and being excited to watch it, especially since I was around the same age as Rory, so I could definitely relate to her antics. Also, I stumbled upon this list of 30 Gilmore Girls quotes that sum up your life...and they are so on point, especially 4, 21, and 26. Almost the entire cast is confirmed for the revival, but I'm most excited about Melissa McCarthy and Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson #LukeandLorelai4Ever. Will you be watching the revival? What are some of your other favorite series to watch on Netflix, I'm always looking for new shows to binge watch!

What are you loving this week?

  1. I totally need a new pair of eye glasses. I've got my eye on a pair of Warby Parker's that I tried on in Tampa. I'm also with you on reconnecting with old friends and having a few good ones versus a lot of loose friendships! xo, Champagne&Suburbs

  2. Picking new glasses is rough. I have the hardest time and I don't even wear mine that often. Last year I finally broke down and replaced my frames (till then I had kept getting new lenses) with a beautiful Tiffany's pair. So in love with them. I even started wearing my glasses more because of it lol.

Gilmore Girls needs to happen now!!! I'm so ready for the revival series. It has been a long time coming. I need a better ending for her and Logan. Logan... Sigh...

    Have a great weekend!!!
